SOOTHING APPLE MUFFINS

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
½ cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp nutmeg
½ cup milk
¼ cup butter, very soft
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
¾ cup Sweet Louise Soothing Apple Cinnamon
½ cup honey
½ cup brown sugar
Directions:
1.
Preheat oven to 350 F
2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg
together in large bowl.
3. In a separate bowl mix milk, butter, eggs, vanilla,
and Soothing Apple Cinnamon.
4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir
until well blended.
5. Divide batter into 18 prepared muffin cups
(well-greased or paper cups)
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until toothpick tests done, cool
7. Top muffin by rolling into honey and then dabbing
into brown sugar.
This is a
nicely textured yet robust muffin. The honey and brown sugar topping
gives it an earthy, mellow taste which makes it my personal favorite
recipe for this contest! (RS)
