APPLE SAUERKRAUT SAUSAGE SUPPER

Ingredients:
1 lb of smoked
sausage (beef or pork) cut into ½” slices
1 T butter
½ med onion, sliced
½ med bell pepper, sliced
1 T flour
½ cup of Sweet Louise Soothing Apple Cinnamon
2 T spicy brown mustard
1 T water
16 oz can of ‘Snowfloss’ brand sauerkraut, well-drained
Directions:
1. Brown
sausage, remove from pan and drain.
2. Melt butter over med heat, add onion and bell pepper,
cook
until softened but still slightly crunchy.
3. Sprinkle flour over vegetables, continue cooking and
work flour
in until it disappears.
4. Mix Sweet Louise Soothing Apple Cinnamon, mustard, and
water, and pour over vegetables. Cook and stir until mixture
begins to bubble.
5. Fold in sauerkraut and sausage, cover and cook on low
for
approximately 5 minutes until heated through.
This recipe makes
3-4 servings and can easily be doubled. It also reheats well in the
micro so make extra for leftovers!
