How do we do
that?
See the Sweet Louise process
of making sauces. |

Our story begins many years ago on the night our signature
sauce was created…

It was a time in life so rough, even the TOUGH head to the kitchen for a little comfort. And so it
was for Randa. She found some vanilla ice cream, but
that was no match for the mood she was in. Feeling
desperate, yet resourceful, she opened a cabinet, saw sugar
and cocoa, and felt a glimmer of hope. She mixed and micro-ed,
tasted and tweaked, and made a "pretty darn good" sauce.
Ever the adventuress she wondered… "What would happen if I
added peanut butter?" She quickly found out: PERFECTION! She
called it her Panda Potion (because Panda rhythms with
Randa), and shared it with only a few lucky friends for the
next 20 years.

Toward the end
of those 20 years, Randa began to sense that her existing
career as a kitchen designer was starting to wind down. So
she began to ask her Higher Power what her next move should
be. She worked, waited, and watched for His direction, and
continued to walk the path He had put her on. Then one day,
much to her surprise, He put a wonderful bachelor right
smack-dab in front of her! Naturally, Randa shared her Panda
Potion with her new friend, Mr. Steven Sweet. And when she
saw how it really "lit him up!" she knew it was special… and
so was he!
That November of 2005, Randa joined the Women's
Entrepreneurial Network (WEN) looking for fun and possible
opportunities. It was at her very first meeting that she
learned about The Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT)
and the fully licensed commercial kitchen that was available
to rent through the Agricultural Incubator Foundation (AIF).
Together these organizations supplied the means and methods
needed to create a food company. And it was right there, at
that very meeting, the feeling came over her LIKE A WAVE:
"I'm taking my sauce to market!"
On February 14, 2006, Steve and Randa formed Sweet Louise,
LLC. They wanted to use "Sweet" in their company name
because it was sure to be both of their last names at some
point. So, while they did not yet become "officially
engaged" on that Valentine's Day, they did get
"incorporated." The company name was complete as Randa's
cat, Louise, walked in just as they were discussing the
possibilities.
Randa sold their very first jar June 1, 2006 at the Farmer's
Market in Perrysburg, OH and has been in charge of sales and
marketing ever since. Actually, she wears "all the hats and
the HAIRNET, too!" Steve helps out when they make a
batch of sauce and helps work the shows as well, both
occasions on which she couldn’t do it without him. Randa
became Mrs. Steven Sweet on May 6, 2007.
In early 2008, two new all-natural sauces were introduced to
the product line: Charming Cherry Kiss and
Soothing Apple Cinnamon. The original Panda Potion was
renamed to the much more descriptive and user-friendly
Pampering Chocolate Peanut Butter. Several more sauces
are in development and Sweet Louise will continue to create
and market products of only the highest quality that are
made of only the most natural, healthy and pure ingredients
on earth.
